What is a document privacy cleaner?
PDFs can store author names, software names, dates, document IDs, and comments. This tool lists the fields it can read and can write a new PDF with selected fields removed.
How to use it
- Drop a PDF (max 50 MB).
- Review the scan. Uncheck anything you want to keep.
- Remove selected fields, or remove all safe metadata. Turn on comment removal only if you intend to drop annotations.
- Download the clean copy.
FAQ
Does this upload my document?
No. The file is read in your browser using the same PDF libraries as Merge PDF.
Will comments disappear automatically?
No. Removing annotations can hide notes that belong in the document. Use the checkbox if you want them gone.
