What is a privacy redactor?
It highlights emails, phones, IDs, and secrets in text you already have, then replaces the items you choose. It uses the same local detection engine as the AI Prompt Privacy Checker.
How to use it
- Paste the text.
- Scan and review each detection. Uncheck anything that should stay.
- Choose Redact, Mask, or Labels, then apply all or selected items.
FAQ
Does redact all run without a scan?
If you have not scanned yet, Redact all scans first. Unchecked items are still skipped when you use Redact selected.
Will this catch every name?
No. Names are only suggested when they appear after a label such as Name:. Treat Possible items as hints.
