Content Credentials Checker
Inspect a file for Content Credentials and provenance information when it is present. This is not an AI detector, a deepfake detector, or a truth detector.
No file inspected yet
Drop a file to look for a C2PA / Content Credentials manifest store.
Your file is inspected in your browser and is not uploaded to DevNestro. Presence of a manifest is not a verdict that the file is authentic. Absence of a manifest is not a verdict that it was manipulated.
What are Content Credentials?
Content Credentials are provenance records, often stored as a C2PA manifest, that can name a tool, an editing history, or an AI disclosure when the creator attached them. Many files have none.
How to use it
- Drop a JPG, PNG, WebP, or MP4 file (max 20 MB).
- Read whether a manifest store was detected and any labels this tool can extract.
- Treat “Not validated” as a reminder that signatures are not verified in this version.
FAQ
Does a missing credential mean the file is fake?
No. It only means supported provenance information was not detected.
Does a found credential mean the file is real?
No. This tool does not decide authenticity. It does not verify cryptographic signatures in this version.
