Size a portrait to a published passport rule, then review it yourself
A holiday snapshot is the wrong crop for a window that will reject a millimetre. People guess 2×2 or 35×45 from memory and discover the rule was cream, not white, or 350×467 pixels, not a print booth. A helper that stores Country, document type, size, background, head-height band, and a source URL is safer than a pile of unofficial “100 countries” lists. It still cannot promise a clerk will take the file. The honest product is exact pixels, a face guide you align by hand, warnings, and a print sheet — plus Needs Review on every export.
Why this is worth doing in the browser
DevNestro’s Passport & ID Photo Maker keeps a short list of profiles checked on 3 September 2026 against official pages: US passport and visa on travel.state.gov, UK printed passport on GOV.UK, Pakistan DGIP online upload size, and Canada printed passport on Canada.ca. Unverified countries are omitted. You pick country and document, drop a JPG, JPEG, PNG, or WebP, then zoom, pan, rotate, and reset against a face guide. There is no separate face-detector model in this version. Background choices are Keep Original, White, or Light; a simple edge fill may help, and you must inspect the result. The page does not add a second background-removal network. Warnings cover size, a face that looks too small or large if you use the guide, darkness, low resolution, blur, and a busy background. Downloads are an exact-size JPG or PNG and printable 4×6 inch or A4 sheets with several copies. Related Image Compressor and Photo Metadata Cleaner exist in the catalog. There is no Background Remover tool to link. Nothing is uploaded.
How to use the tool
Choose a country and document, read the cited notes, upload a recent portrait, align the guide, inspect warnings, then download a single photo or a print sheet. Open the source URL before you apply. Related Image Compressor shrinks a file that is still too heavy. Related Photo Metadata Cleaner strips GPS if you share the picture elsewhere.
- Read the official source linked on the profile. Rules change.
- Do not treat a green crop as approval. The label is Needs Review.
- Canada and the UK may reject digitally altered pictures. Keep edits to crop and size.
- Print on photo paper if the form asks for prints. A phone screen is not a booth.
Privacy
The portrait is processed in your browser and is not uploaded to DevNestro. Analytics may record that the tool ran, not the photo.
Need a 2×2 or 35×45 crop you can still check against the government page? Open Passport & ID Photo Maker and review the result before you apply.
