Crop the frame so the subject is the file

Cameras include too much room. Profiles want a square. Thumbnails want 16:9. Stories want 9:16. Cropping in the browser means the downloaded file is the composition, not a CSS crop that disappears when someone opens the original.

Why this is worth doing in the browser

Phone editors are fine until you are on a laptop with a PNG from a designer. The DevNestro Crop Image tool offers zoom, rotate, and common ratios. It is not a full retoucher. It is the honest way to cut pixels before you compress or resize. Use Screenshot Redactor if the crop is really about hiding information rather than framing.

How to use the tool

Drop the image, pick a ratio, frame the subject, and download. Resize if the output is still too many pixels. Compress if it is too many bytes.

  1. Choose the ratio the destination uses so you are not cropping twice.
  2. Zoom until the subject fills the frame; extra sky is optional.
  3. Rotate only to straighten, not to hide a problem you should redact.
  4. Download the crop and archive the original.

Privacy

Cropping runs in your browser. The image is not uploaded to DevNestro.

Send the frame you approved. Open Crop Image, lock the ratio, and download pixels that already match the post.
