Share a camera with Gemini Live and say the frames leave the tab
A camera preview is easy to treat as a local viewer. It is not. When you start a session, DevNestro requests an ephemeral Live token on the server, then the browser streams microphone audio and periodic JPEG frames to Gemini Live. The API key stays on the host. The live model is gemini-2.5-flash by default. There is no forensic certainty about objects, text, or people in the frame, and there is no claim the session is private on your device.
Why this is worth doing in the browser
Live Camera shares the same three-per-hour live limit as Live Voice. If the key is empty, Live is unavailable, or the browser blocks camera or microphone permission, the page fails closed instead of faking a vision chat. This is not the local AI Image Detector, not the image analyzer upload page, and not a computer-vision product that runs only in WebAssembly.
How to use the tool
Confirm that camera frames and audio may be sent to Google Gemini. Start live camera. Point the camera at a scene you are willing to send. Stop ends the session and turns the camera off. Clear drops the log. Nothing is stored as a video archive.
- Do not point the camera at identity documents, other people, or confidential screens unless you accept Google processing.
- Stop the session to release the camera.
- A refused start is often a missing key, a blocked permission, or the hourly limit.
- Reject any name or brand you cannot see in the preview.
Privacy
Camera frames and audio are sent to Google Gemini. DevNestro does not keep a live-video library. Logs may include feature, model, duration, and status—not the pixels. This is not processed only in your browser.
