Describe a photo with Gemini without calling the recap forensic

A photo on your disk is easy to treat as private. This page is not the in-browser compressor and not the local AI Image Detector. When you press Analyze, DevNestro sends the image to Google’s Gemini Developer API as inline data or through the Files API, then asks generateContent to describe what is visible. The model id is the host image model (gemini-3.1-flash-image by default). There is no claim that objects, brands, or faces are identified correctly, and there is no forensic certainty.

Why this is worth doing in the browser

People want an image analyzer because a screenshot or a whiteboard photo is faster to dump than to type. Mixing that habit with a local-privacy story is how a visitor uploads a badge photo and believes it never left the tab. This route states the opposite: cloud processing, a Files rate limit (five requests per thirty minutes by default), optional free-tier training disclosure, and an instruction to stay with visible facts. The local detector remains the place to look for authenticity signals without uploading.

How to use the tool

Pick a focus: describe, objects, visible information, diagram, screenshot, structured fields, or a question. Upload one supported image. Confirm the file may be sent to Google Gemini. Read the result against the pixels. Clear / Start Over drops the session copy. Temporary Gemini files are deleted after the reply when cleanup succeeds.

  1. Do not upload identity documents or confidential screens unless you accept Google processing.
  2. Reject any name, brand, or location you cannot see in the photo.
  3. Use the local AI Image Detector if you want a browser-side authenticity check.
  4. Ask one question at a time when the image is busy.

Privacy

The image is sent to Google Gemini. DevNestro does not keep an image archive. Logs may include token counts and duration, not the pixels. If the host uses Gemini’s free API tier, Google’s current terms may allow submitted content to improve Google products.
