Chat with Gemini without pretending the conversation stays on your device
A chat box is easy to mistake for a notepad. It is not. When you press Send on Gemini AI Chat, DevNestro forwards the thread to Google’s Gemini Developer API using generateContent and streamGenerateContent. The model id is configured on the host (gemini-3.5-flash by default). Replies stream back into the page. There is no local LLM in the browser for this tool, and there is no claim that the answer is complete, current, or safe to act on without checking.
Why this is worth doing in the browser
People look for a free Gemini chat because they want a second opinion on wording, a quick explanation, or a starting draft. Browser-only tools on DevNestro already cover counting, formatting, and redaction. They cannot call Gemini. Mixing those two stories is how a visitor pastes a customer list and believes it never left the tab. How to use the tool
Type a message. Nothing is uploaded while you type. Send starts the request. Cancel stops waiting on this page; Google may still finish a request already in flight. Privacy
This tool sends conversation text to Google Gemini. It is not processed only in your browser. DevNestro does not store the thread after the session. If the host uses Gemini’s free API tier, Google’s current terms may allow submitted content to improve Google products.
