Encrypted One-Time Secure Note
Share temporary encrypted text with an expiring or one-time link. Encryption runs in your browser. The key stays in the # part of the URL.
Availability
Anyone with the complete sharing link can read the note until it expires or is consumed. DevNestro stores only ciphertext. The key after # is not sent to the server in a normal request. Do not send illegal content. Report abuse at Contact.
What is an encrypted one-time note?
Your browser encrypts the text with AES-GCM, then DevNestro stores the ciphertext on this site’s disk until the note expires or is burned. Recipients open /n/{id}#key. The fragment after # is not included in ordinary HTTP requests.
How to use it
- Write the note. Maximum 100 KB.
- Choose burn after reading, or 1, 6, or 24 hours. Burned notes still expire within 24 hours if nobody opens them.
- Create the link and copy the complete URL, including the part after #.
FAQ
Does DevNestro see the plaintext?
No. Encryption happens in your browser. The server stores ciphertext, an IV, an expiry, and whether the note burns after reading.
What happens after the first read on a burn-after-reading note?
The ciphertext is removed. Later visitors see that the note is no longer available.
