The file is stored on this website’s server for 24 hours, then deleted. The sharing link cannot download the file after it expires. This uses the same disk as the web app — not Azure Blob Storage or another cloud drive. Do not upload malware or files you do not have the right to share. Report a problem on Contact.
What is File Share?
It lets you send one file (up to 16 GB) with a private link. The link and the file both expire 24 hours after the upload finishes.
How to use it
- Drop or choose one file. Large files upload in 8 MB pieces, not as a single request.
- Wait for the link, then copy it or email it. The email contains the link only — not the file.
- The recipient opens the link and downloads the file. After 24 hours the link stops working and the file is deleted.
FAQ
Where is the file stored?
On the same App Service (or local) filesystem as DevNestro, outside the public website folder. It is not stored in Azure Blob Storage, S3, or another object store.
Can I upload more than 16 GB?
No. Each file must be 16 GB or smaller. Temporary disk space on the host is also limited, so uploads can be refused when the server is full.
Does email send the file?
No. Only the sharing URL is sent. Do not expect a multi-gigabyte attachment.
Acceptable use
Only share files you have the right to distribute. Do not use this tool for malware, phishing, or material you do not own. Download pages are private links and are not indexed. Report abuse at Contact.
