Editing uses PDF.js and pdf-lib in your browser. API: None. Whiteout visually covers content and is not secure redaction. Replace Text covers a region and adds new text; it does not rewrite the original PDF text objects.

Is My PDF Uploaded?
No. The PDF is opened and edited in your browser. It is uploaded only if you confirm Share for 24 Hours, which uses the existing File Share tool.
Can I Edit Existing PDF Text?
The free editor can add new text and visually replace existing text with the Replace Text tool (whiteout plus new text). Direct editing of arbitrary original PDF paragraphs is not available in this version.
Can I Sign a PDF?
Yes. Draw a signature, type a name, or upload a PNG or JPG. Signatures are not stored after you leave the page.
Is whiteout redaction?
No. Whiteout only covers content visually. Original PDF information can remain underneath. For hiding data in screenshots, use the Screenshot Privacy Redactor. To strip PDF metadata, use the Document Privacy Cleaner. DevNestro does not currently offer cryptographic PDF redaction.
