Move between WebP, JPG, and PNG without a design suite
WebP is smaller on the web and unsupported in the one place you need to submit. Clients send WebP; printers want JPEG. You have a PNG logo and a site that would rather have WebP. A converter that does both directions in the browser saves a round trip through an editor.
Why this is worth doing in the browser
Renaming the extension does not convert the format. The DevNestro WebP Converter actually re-encodes. Quality still matters: WebP and JPEG are lossy when you choose them that way. Use Image Compressor to tune size after you are in the right format. Use JPG to PNG / PNG to JPG when WebP is not in the story.
How to use the tool
Drop the file, pick the output format the destination accepts, and download. Check the result at 100% zoom if type is involved.
- Convert to the format the other system lists, not the one that is fashionable.
- Do not chain lossy conversions; start from the best source you have.
- Use PNG when you need transparency and the host allows it.
- Compress only after the format is correct.
Privacy
Conversion runs in your browser. Images are not uploaded to DevNestro.
When the file is the wrong format, convert it on purpose. Open the WebP Converter and download something the other software can open.
