Analyze a public YouTube URL without ripping the file
A YouTube link is not a file on your disk, and this page does not turn it into one. When you press Analyze, DevNestro sends the public URL to Gemini for video understanding. There is no download, no rip, and no attempt to bypass YouTube restrictions. Private, age-gated, or region-blocked videos can fail. The result is analysis, not a transcript you can republish as the creator’s words.
Why this is worth doing in the browser
People look for “summarize YouTube” and expect a downloader. That is out of scope. The page accepts https watch, share, Shorts, and embed URLs on youtube.com or youtu.be. Other hosts, http, and localhost are rejected. Rate limits follow the Files policy because the model is doing video understanding. If Gemini’s current API stops accepting YouTube URIs, the request fails closed instead of fetching the media through DevNestro.
How to use the tool
Paste a public URL. Pick summarize, topics, timeline, questions, notes, quiz, or a custom question. Confirm the URL may be sent to Google Gemini. Read the result on the public watch page. Download TXT if you want a copy.
- Do not paste unlisted or private URLs you would not send to Google.
- This is not a downloader.
- Quiz answers and notes can be wrong.
- Restricted videos may simply fail.
Privacy
Only the YouTube URL and your instruction are sent to Google Gemini. DevNestro does not fetch the media file. This is not processed only in your browser. Free-tier training language follows the configured tier.
Have a public YouTube URL you can send to Gemini? Open YouTube Video Analyzer and treat the output as a draft, not a substitute for watching.
