Summarize with Gemini only from the words you actually pasted
A summary that adds a date, a verdict, or a name that was never in the source is a new document, not a shorter one. The Gemini summarizer is instructed to use only the pasted text. That instruction is not a guarantee. You still compare names and numbers. The page is separate from PDF Intelligence and from any in-browser extractive summarizer so visitors are not told the wrong privacy story.
Why this is worth doing in the browser
Long pages, meeting notes, and email threads are the usual inputs. Files are not uploaded on this Phase 1 page; paste text. If the source is larger than the configured character limit, the request is refused before Gemini is called. Token counting runs for large pastes so a runaway document does not silently burn quota. Unicode, including Urdu and Arabic, is sent as UTF-8.
How to use the tool
Paste the source, pick a length, press Summarize. Read the result against the original. Download TXT if you want a file. Nothing is sent while you type.
- Paste the original, not a summary of a summary.
- Reject any claim you cannot find in the source.
- Split very large documents rather than hoping the model kept the middle.
- Use a document tool later if you need a PDF path; this page is text only.
Privacy
Source text is sent to Google Gemini. DevNestro does not store the source as a library. Logs may include token counts and duration, not the article body.
