Scam Message & Link Checker
Check a message or a link for common scam, phishing, and impersonation warning signs. No automated checker can guarantee that a message or website is safe.
Check
No automated checker can guarantee that a message or website is safe.
Why
Recommended Actions
The message and link are checked in your browser. DevNestro does not look up the URL with a reputation service in this version.
What does this checker look for?
It looks for combinations of urgency, payment or OTP requests, impersonation language, and local URL signals such as punycode, raw IP addresses, or a host that resembles a well-known brand. A missing HTTPS connection or an unusual TLD is only a weak signal.
How to use it
- Paste the message, the link, or both. You can switch tabs; both fields are checked together.
- Read the risk-indicator level, the reasons, and the recommended actions.
- Still verify through an official channel. This is not a safety guarantee.
FAQ
If the result is Low Risk Indicators, is the message safe?
No. Low Risk Indicators means few of the patterns this tool knows were found. It is not a verdict that the message or website is safe.
Do you scan the live website?
No. This version uses local URL structure only. An optional reputation provider can be configured later; it is off by default.
Read the original guide: Slow down a suspicious text before you tap the link.
