Is this the same as Private PDF Chat?
No. Private PDF Chat stays extractive unless you opt into a separate AI endpoint. This page always sends the PDF to Google Gemini.
Are page citations guaranteed?
No. The model is told not to invent pages. If a page number is missing or looks invented, ignore it.
