How Currency Conversion Works
You enter an amount and two currency codes. DevNestro multiplies the amount by a recent reference rate from Frankfurter (no API key). The math uses decimal values, not binary floating point.
Reference Rates vs Bank Rates
Central-bank and official reference rates are useful for comparison. Your bank, card network, or cash desk may add spreads and fees, so the amount you receive can differ.
How Often Rates Update
Frankfurter publishes working-day style reference data. DevNestro caches currency lists and pair rates briefly so typing does not hit the API on every keystroke.
Historical Exchange Rates
Choose 7D, 30D, 3M, 6M, or 1Y to plot the pair. Missing weekend or holiday dates are normal for many providers and are not treated as errors.
Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need an API key?
No. The default provider is Frankfurter v2, which does not require an API key for this tool.
Is this a trading or investment tool?
