Summarize long PDFs into accurate bullets
Design docs and essays hide the claims that matter. An extractive summarizer keeps original wording instead of inventing a paraphrase, which is safer when you need fidelity over flourish. Optional AI bullets exist if you configure an endpoint — they are not required to get a first pass.
Why this is worth doing in the browser
The DevNestro PDF Intelligence summarizer ranks sentences from pasted text or an uploaded PDF without an API key. If you store an OpenAI-compatible key in your own host configuration, you can ask a model for bullets instead. Scanned image-only PDFs have nothing to extract. Translation is a separate path under the same PDF Intelligence area when you need another language and a layout-preserving export.
How to use the tool
Paste the article or upload a text PDF, keep the bullet count small, and copy the points into your notes. Use Private PDF Chat when you have questions rather than a summary. Use Resume Job Match when the PDF is a CV against a job description.
- Prefer a text PDF or a paste; scans need OCR you do not get here.
- Start without an AI key; add an endpoint only if you opt in.
- Five tight bullets beat twelve overlapping ones.
- Open Translate PDF when the task is language, not summary.
Privacy
Extractive ranking can run without an external model. Optional AI summaries send extracted text to the endpoint you configure. DevNestro does not keep a library of your PDFs as a product database.
Get the claims out of the long file. Open the AI Summarizer, extract bullets, and read those before you reread the whole PDF.
