Generate a short Veo clip only when the host is paid and limited
A generate button is easy to treat as a free local renderer. It is not. Video generation uses Veo through predictLongRunning (veo-3.1-generate-preview by default). DevNestro classifies it as paid-only. On the free tier the request never leaves for Veo; you see that a paid Gemini configuration is required. When a paid host is configured, the page still enforces one generation per hour so a public visitor cannot drain quota. The clip is generated media. It is not a real recording.
Why this is worth doing in the browser
This page exists because the master Gemini plan asked for a video generator and because visitors will look for text-to-video next to the image generator. Mixing those two stories without a cost gate is how a host bill spikes. The UI still lets you write a prompt, pick 16:9 or 9:16, 720p or 1080p, and 4, 6, or 8 seconds, and optionally attach a reference image. Empty keys and the free tier fail closed. There is no claim the clip is unique, brand-safe, or suitable to publish without review.
How to use the tool
Write a prompt. Optionally add a reference image. Generate. If the host is free or the hourly limit is used, the page explains why. Preview and download only what you will label as AI-generated.
- Do not submit confidential prompts unless you accept Google processing.
- Treat the clip as generated media.
- A refused request may be the free tier, a missing key, or the 1/hour limit.
- Keep image generation on its own page; this route is video only.
Privacy
The prompt and optional reference image are sent to Google Gemini when a paid configuration allows it. DevNestro does not keep a generated-video library. This is not processed locally. Free-tier hosts do not call Veo.
Have a paid Gemini host and a prompt you are willing to send? Open AI Video Generator, expect the hourly limit, and label any download as AI-generated.
