Write an honest AI disclosure without fake legal seals
Readers and platforms increasingly ask whether AI helped. Teams respond with either silence or a paragraph that claims “100% compliant.” A useful middle is one sentence that names the content type, how AI was involved, and whether a human reviewed it. That sentence is a draft. It is not a lawyer, not an advertising disclosure for every jurisdiction, and not a substitute for your newsroom policy.
Why this is worth doing in the browser
DevNestro’s AI Usage Disclosure Generator fills a template from three fields: article, image, video, social post, research, or report; drafted, generated, edited, or lightly checked with AI; and review by nobody, the author, an editor, or a specialist. The output always states that it is not a legal or regulatory certification. No model is called. No paid API is required. Related Prompt Privacy Checker is for sanitizing the prompt you might still send somewhere else. Related Task Specification Builder is for the brief, not the byline.
How to use the tool
Pick the three fields, generate, copy, edit names and policies your organization requires. Do not publish the sentence if it is untrue.
- Only select review levels that actually happened.
- Edit the sentence for your house style.
- Do not add “guaranteed compliant” language.
- Ask counsel when the content is regulated.
