Is this processed locally?
No. The text is sent to Google Gemini. The local Text to Speech tool still runs in the browser if you want that path.
Why is Generate speech unavailable?
The host may be missing a Gemini key, the TTS model may be unavailable on the key, or the text rate limit was reached.
